4th week after Hawaii: arrangements and status of regeneration

Since the big race on Hawaii, four weeks have passed by. I really enjoyed this time and started slow training sessions.
It is really good for the body and head to recover and do nothing at some point the year. It has been a long season and after all these month you should indulge yourself something. For example eat as much as you want and stay up late, without having to get up for an early swim in the morning.

From the race itself I recovered very well. Of course, it is much easier with achieving a great result. You are in a better mood for sure and the positive energy underlines the regeneration.

Additionally I have a great Team of physios. In Willisau I’ve got a masseur, who has been looking after me for eight years now. He whips my tired muscles into shape again.

First of all I will get in the water again. Swimming is the optimal discipline for regeneration. It is gentle for the locomotors system and with the pressure of the water the legs are supplied with blood very well. At the same time you are able to get the cardiovascular system going again.

Wintertime is the also the time to try different sports. For example get on the mountain bike or go climbing. This is fun and also a little training for your body.
