Four weeks after Ironman Hawaii

After Hawaii it was time to lay back and relax a little to give my body some time for regeneration. It is important to give the body a complete period to rest. In these weeks I’m trying to manage those things, I’m not able to do during the season and of necessity fall on the wayside. So I redesigned my apartment, bought new furniture and cleared up my wardrobe. Now I’m feeling a lot more comfortable. At the time I managed to finally visit some friends, I haven’t seen for a long time. Emails and phone calls can’t replace this.

I have to admit that I’m starting to miss the sport and daily training sessions. This is a sign that my head wants to train again and my body so to say “doesn’t know of it”.

So I started the season comeback with a small training this week.
It is a little frustrating to see, how fast a top form goes by. Four weeks ago, I was on Hawaii, totally in shape and now I have to start slowly again. I was cycling with a colleague yesterday and it seemed as every ascent was higher than ever before. The cool wind gave me the rest.
Well, as we know every beginning is difficult, but I have to get through this stage and hopefully I’m finding back into my old performance quickly.:-)
